Artisan Markets and Pop-Ups
Since 2017, I’ve shared my charcoal, ink, and acrylic artwork at artisan markets and pop-ups across Texas, North Carolina, and Kentucky. These events bring art, community, and commerce together in vibrant ways.
Why I Love Markets & Pop-Ups
One of my favorite ways to connect with art lovers is at local pop-ups and artisan markets. I’ve attended them since childhood and officially participated since 2017. From large street fairs to small parking lot events, these gatherings bring vendors and the public together in homespun, meaningful settings.
What It Takes to Participate
Markets like ArtsGoggle in Fort Worth, TX (once a small word-of-mouth event that is now several blocks long) had become an annual highlight. Whether outdoors or in cozy indoor spaces like school gymnasiums, these events require careful planning for setup, weather, and sales, but they’re incredibly rewarding. Engaging with on-site visitors and chatting about my creative process adds something special that gallery shows don’t always offer.
My Favorite Events
I’ve loved being part of seasonal favorites, from outdoor festivals like ArtsGoggle to holiday markets hosted by local schools or businesses. Some are well-known, others are surprise pop-ups, and I cherish them all.
