Terms and Conditions
By purchasing or commissioning any artwork through this website or at events where Angeles Art is promoted, the buyer agrees to the following terms.
Images and Copyright
The artist, Arcilia Gonzalez, retains exclusive rights to reproduce all artwork, including prints. Images of the artist’s work may not be used without explicit written permission. The artist reserves the right to display all artwork, including commissions, on her website and social media unless a client requests otherwise before work begins. Clients do not have the right to reproduce or sell copies of any artwork without the artist’s consent.
Reference Photos
By providing reference photos, the client grants permission for them to be used in promotional materials (e.g., side-by-side comparisons with finished artwork). If a commission is intended as a gift, the client is responsible for ensuring proper rights to the images provided. High-quality reference photos are required. If suitable images are not provided, the artist may refuse the commission and issue a deposit refund.
Quotes and Prices
Pricing varies depending on the commission’s size, subject, and medium. Quotes provided are valid for 30 days. Final pricing will be confirmed before work begins.
Deposit and Delivery
A non-refundable deposit (typically 1/3 of the total) is required to secure a commission slot on the artist’s calendar. Deposits cover time spent preparing, sketching, and reserving the artist’s schedule. Special Event Exception: Deposits placed at art markets or fairs may be refundable within a set time frame, as noted during the event. The remaining balance is due upon completion and client approval of the final work. Once the balance is paid, the artwork will be delivered, available for pickup, or shipped with tracking. In the rare event of shipping damage, the client must send photos immediately. Depending on severity, the artwork may need to be returned (at the client’s cost) before a replacement is created. Replacement pieces will be added to the waitlist and may take additional time. Clients are responsible for any customs charges or import fees.
Payment and Cancellations
Clients are not required to pay the full balance until they approve the finished piece. If a client cancels a commission, the deposit is retained by the artist, and the client owes no additional balance. If the remaining balance is not paid within 30 days of completion notification (and no communication is received), the artwork will be considered canceled and remain the property of the artist.
Refunds
Refunds are generally not available for completed commissions or event purchases. Deposits are non-refundable, except under special promotions (e.g., market offers). Final decisions regarding refunds are at the artist’s discretion.
