Terms and Conditions

By purchasing or commissioning any artwork through this website or at other events where Angeles Art is being promoted, the buyer agrees to all the terms listed below.

Images and Copyright

The artist, Arcilia Gonzalez, holds exclusive rights to reproduce all artwork, including prints. The artist does not grant permission to use images of their artwork without their explicit consent. Should you wish to use an image from this website, please contact the artist. The artist reserves the right to display all artwork including commissions on their website and social media pages. Clients who do not wish for their commissions to be displayed online must notify the artist before the work begins. The client does not have the right to sell copies of the artwork without permission from the artist.

Reference Photos

By providing reference photos for commissions, the client grants permission to the artist to use them as advertising media such as showing comparisons between the reference photo and the final drawing. If the drawing is a gift, the client accepts responsibility for sourcing and using images that are of or belong to the recipient. Good, quality reference photos must be provided for commissioned drawings unless otherwise discussed. The artist reserves the right to refuse to complete a portrait if not provided with suitable reference material, in which case deposits will be refunded.

Quotes and Prices

All commissions and drawings are different so the prices on the website and at in-person events are subject to change. Quotes may be given to more accurately reflect the specifications of the commission or original artwork. Quotes will be honored for up to 30 days.

Deposit and Delivery

Before the artist begins drawing a commission, payment of a non-refundable 1/3 deposit is required. After the drawing is completed, payment of the remaining balance is expected. Once the client is 100% satisfied with the final drawing, and the remaining balance has been paid, the drawing will be either delivered, picked up by the client, or shipped to the specified address with tracking and an expected delivery date. All commissions and other artwork are packaged extremely well, however in the event damage occurs during transit, please send a photo of the packaging and drawing to the artist immediately. Depending on the extent of the damage, the drawing is to be returned in its original packaging at the client’s cost. Once received, a new drawing will be created and shipped at no additional cost. The new drawing will be added to the waitlist so it might take some time to complete. Clients are responsible for any customs charges/fees incurred from shipping. Shipping options are at the artist’s discretion and may not be available for all artwork. These options will be discussed before work on the commission has begun.

Payment and Cancellations

Clients are under no obligation to pay the full amount until they are 100% happy with the final result of a commissioned drawing. If the client wishes to cancel a commission, the artist will retain the 1/3 deposit but the client will not be obligated to pay the remaining balance. The retained deposit helps cover the loss of business and any time spent on the drawing so far. If the client has not paid the remaining balance 30 days after notification of completion and no other communication has been given, the artist will assume the commission has been canceled and the drawing will remain the property of the artist.

Refunds

The final decision regarding refunds is at the artist’s discretion. Due to the nature of custom commissions, once the finished drawings have been approved by the client and delivered, no refunds will be made. Purchases made at any in-person events are final sales. Any issues can be addressed by contacting Arcilia Gonzalez.
